Our Top Rope Course half day adventure was amazing! Alex was awesome at challenging everyone's ability/comfort levels in our group from 7 years old to adult. We highly recommend this activity for the whole family! It was my kids (7, 12 and 14 years old) favorite part of our trip!

Ian was a great guide, especially for my first climbing experience. Patient, emphasized safety, encouraging. And he was able to tailor the climbing for my more experienced sister. Definitely worth it!

Simon was a great guide and very supportive of everyone in our group - all of which were beginner climbers. Kids did amazing!

Ian was great, as a complete newbie I was super intimidated but he met me where I was at and showed me the ropes. It was a great experience and now I’m motivated to get stronger to come back and do more.

My son and I have absolutely no climbing experience but wanted to try something new. Becca took her time to help us both out. I struggled a bit (lack of strength lol) but my son did amazing and had a great time!

Simon was incredibly knowledgeable, patient with my children, and kind. He gets 5 stars from our family for safety and skill. He is also a great teacher, a great listener, and is passionate about sharing the sport with others. My 10 year old said “Simon is my favorite person I know”! We Can’t wait to come back and climb with Red River Climbing Guides again next year. It was a short easy hike to and from the wall and Simon offered appropriate climb options for our skill level. My only recommendation is that RRCG shares profiles of the guides, their training and background in climbing, and their safety certification credentials on their website. Had the most amazing experience with Red River Climbing Guides. I had a trip planned with a group of 8 others and reached out to a number of guide companies in the area. Matt's professionalism and his ability to cater to our exact needs helped inform my decision. Leading up to our guide day the guides (Ian and David, both phenomenal) made contact and checked in with the needs of our group. It was great that we were able to have two guides for our large group. Day of nothing could have been better. They managed to make everyone happy and satisfied from those who had never climbed outside before to those with lots of experience. Everyone learned lots and the extra knowledge increased the enjoyment for the rest of our trip tenfold. While staying professional and making sure we got the most out of the time the guys were still awesome to have around the whole day and really made it fun. As a group that splurged on this to begin with we had zero hesitation further splurging on a tip for these guys. I could not recommend enough.

We booked a full day of climbing for our daughter and a half day for my husband and myself. Ian was our guide, and was very good at explaining as much or as little as we wanted to learn! He pushed us appropriately to go a little beyond our comfort zone while at the same time challenging our much more experienced daughter and teaching her a variety of new skills and techniques. He was a great teacher, very personable, and clearly had a passion for sharing his skills. We also respected his general regard for safety of all climbers out there that day, not just the 3 of us in his care. All-around great experience!

This was my second climbing experience with red river climbing guides and I couldn’t express enough how incredible our day was. I would recommend this group of guides to anyone and we will definitely be booking again. Matt not only provided a great experience but also encouragement and support, my husband is a newer climber, he made huge strives in his skill level and confidence on the rock. Can’t wait for our next climb!
