I had a wonderful whole day of climbing with Simon today. A true professional, gentleman, and lovely human. Will not hesitate to book him again if I need a climbing partner for the day or am climbing with new climbers (or like, just cuz he’s a pleasant dude.). I learned a lot, I climbed a bunch, and had a super nice day of hanging out in the woods. I feel like he really quickly had a grasp on my skill level and picked routes accordingly. Honestly could not have found a better way to spend a 90+ degree day in the Red!

Alex was great and had great knowledge of the area! He found the perfect balance of a challenge and enjoyment! Would absolutely come back to enjoy more of the Muir Valley!

This was our first time climbing and repelling and it was such a great experience. We opted for a full day, which after this experience, was the best way to go. Jon was our guide for the day and made the experience that much better. He taught us different aspect of climbing, helped us through each new experience, and most importantly, made sure we were comfortable each step of the way. I would absolutely recommend this team and we will be return customers next time we're in the area.

10/10, such an awesome experience! Would definitely recommend to any new climbers as well as those who are just getting outside for the first time. Our guide David took the time to not only teach and guide us but also share interesting personal stories and get to know us along the way. He ensured we were comfortable while also pushing us and allowing to see what all we could do. Great tips and motivation every step of the way. Great experience and will be using again until we are able to lead climb on our own!

I worked with Red River Climbing Guides a few times over the fall. We had Matt and he was a great guide, both in terms of showing me around the Red, but also helping me advance my climbing. We also hired RRCG for a family outing and Matt was excellent with our six and eight year old. I highly recommend using the Red River Climbing Guides the next time you go to the Red!

We had a great morning/afternoon with Simon! His expertise, encouragement and patience with our group of mixed-age non-climbers was really impressive. This was our first time to the Red but not our first guided climbing trip. We have a group with various skill levels. Matthew and Mark were super helpful when calling to set up the trip and Simon, our guide, was awesome. We enjoyed his relaxed personality, he has great knowledge of the routes and could give tips if needed. My son and I lead routes while my wife and daughter than top roped. It was a fantastic experience overall.

Easy to work with and very knowledgeable guides.

My wife and I climbed with Andy. He’s a great guide and I would request him for a return trip. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I have some experience but my wife was climbing real rock for the first time. She felt safe the whole time and Andy talked her through some tougher spots in a very professional and friendly manner. I will say that a text or email a day or two before the trip would have been nice. When I didn’t hear anything I searched my email and found the original confirmation that had meeting location and time. Not a big deal but I’ve used other guide services in other parts of the country that reach out again right before the trip. Regardless I would not hesitate to use this guide service again and hopefully with Andy.

Climbed in May 2024, with guide Becca. She was absolutely great and was able to keep a mixed-experience group fully engaged and challenged throughout the day. Highly recommended.

Awesome experience - outstanding guide - great person. I took my two kids on their first climbing experience and our original guide no-showed - literally left us waiting at Muir Valley trail head. Once Matt heard our situation he immediately stepped in and provided a professional guided experience. He’s very educated on climbing and the area. He did a great job with my kids by encouraging them at the right time, advising them at the right times, and also letting them figure things out on their own. I did my climbing mid week so not very crowded. My guide was Simon who was friendly, professional and patient. The weather was amazing, 60 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. So many places to climb in Muir! Thank you for a great experience.

My experience was part of my friend’s bachelorette and we all had such a blast! Taylor was our guide and he added to the spark of our experience. His professionalism and expertise really showed us that we were in good hands. He made us feel safe, comfortable, and most of all, that we were fully capable of whatever challenges that were presented before us during our climb. We greatly appreciated his encouragement. Highly recommend and do ask for Taylor as your guide! You will not be disappointed!!

Had such a fantastic time climbing today with Alex. He brought us to a less traveled spot at 1st with harder routes that challenged us, then we headed over to some fun ones and really couldn't of had a better day. 1st time lead climbing officially. Thanks Alex!

My girlfriend and I had a blast. We'd never climbed, had no gear, and they provide everything needed. It rained, sleeted, and snowed yet we had dry rock. They are knowledgeable and we felt 100% safe. Give it a go, and you'll be amazed what you learn and what you can do.
