Great 1/2 day climbing.

I’ve climbed in the Red River Gorge twice now, and both times Simon was my guide. I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. I’m a total beginner and wasn’t even sure I’d get off the ground—but Simon made me feel completely at ease. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but also so patient, encouraging, and super fun. I ended up climbing things I never thought I could. When I got stuck, he didn’t just tell me what to do—he helped me figure it out, which made the whole experience even more empowering. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and he’s great at helping other people love it too. If you want a guide with real expertise and an awesome vibe, go with Simon. He's AMAZING! I’m already planning trip #3!

Ian was awesome! Very knowledgeable. Easygoing and helpful. He was clearly well liked by all the climbers we encountered at the crag and it isn't hard to see why.

Alex was great! He ran a great refresher course and kept us feeling safe and comfortable while also offering challenging routes. It was a fantastic return to climbing. Thanks Alex!

My girlfriend and I had a blast. We'd never climbed, had no gear, and they provide everything needed. It rained, sleeted, and snowed yet we had dry rock. They are knowledgeable and we felt 100% safe. Give it a go, and you'll be amazed what you learn and what you can do.

My friends and I spent an amazing day in the Gorge with Red River Climbing Guides! Ian was our guide, and he was wonderful! He was fun, helpful and explained everything to us. His passion for climbing and for helping people learn more about it, is clear! I can't wait to bring my son back in the spring.

Rebecca, our guide, was excellent. We are beginner climbers, with a kid that has a knack for it, and were able to do all different levels of climbs. Great experience!

We had a great experience with our lead climbing | half day guided session. Andy, our guide, answered our questions effectively and had us practice the skills to ensure we were confident at them. We had prior experience with lead climbing; newer climbers may wish to book a full day, and communicate in advance what you are looking for so the guide can plan for the best experience for all. We communicated our goals in advance and at the beginning of the session, and Andy supported our learning and confidence.

Our instructor was Alex - she was amazing!

Matt, has gone above and beyond teaching me the art climbing. I was able to go from gym to crag to lead climbing! We had the best experience this weekend with Taylor from Red River Climbing Guides. Our group came in with no expectations and zero climbing background, but Taylor immediately made us feel comfortable and confident with his calm, professional approach.He was incredibly intuitive. He seemed to know exactly when to offer guidance, when to encourage us to push ourselves, and when to keep things light and fun. Safety was clearly a top priority, but he balanced that with making the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.What started out feeling intimidating quickly turned into one of the most fun and memorable times we’ve ever had. Taylor is not only professional and knowledgable, but he’s genuinely fun to be around.We can’t recommend him enough and would absolutely book again.

We had a wonderful time with Alex climbing in the Red River Gorge this past weekend. Alex was very knowledgeable and professional about every aspect of rock climbing and our 9-year-old daughter had a blast climbing outdoors with him. We would highly recommend Alex and would climb with him again.

Ian was a great guide we learned a lot and had lots of fun. The gym to Craig was a great program, and Ian is an excellent instructor.

Super fun climbing! Javier was very friendly and did a great job covering all the climbing goals we had even though we only did a half day. He even stayed out with us a little later so I could complete a route. Very professional. Highly recommend!

Simon is the best climbing guide we’ve ever worked with and a gem of a person. He taught my husband and me far more than we expected and did so with such warmth, kindness, and palpably genuine encouragement. He makes what initially feels unreachable totally doable. I am grateful to have climbed with him.
